  1. Yum, I wonder what your tips are for not getting veggies mushy on the grill? Or bananas? We made the yummiest “blubana” grilled banana split but they got a teeny tiny bit mushy… I’m thinking shorter cooking time! Love your site~

  2. today is Canada Day up here in the north and we are experiencing cool weather–no grilling–made a pot of chicken soup and making kreplach out of won ton wrappers–sipping a nice cup of hot tea with ginger pieces–hopefully you have nicer weather for the 4th

  3. We are going old school this year with a 4th of July “kitchen” clambake. A neighbor hosted one last summer and we showed up in our most convincing prepster gear. It gave us the idea to repeat the tradition for the 4th of July this year. It is a surprisingly easy meal to prepare and cook (steam). Of course, the freshest ingredients make the meal! Happy 4th Tori. Thanks for sharing and allowing us to do the same. If you have time (ha) or want to (maybe?), check out our kitchen clambake post. link to cashmereapron.com

  4. My favorite time for grilling is in the winter. Too hot in Texas for me to be outside. Grilled in NYC right after a blizzard. All white and still. The grill kept us warm.

  5. Love the Israeli influence in your menus; I´ve struggled to find authentic Israeli cuisine that I have long missed since I spent time there–until discovering you!
