We’re about to ring in the new year, and what better way to celebrate than with finger foods and cocktails? I love serving “little bites” at parties (you can read about the history of finger foods here). The small portions allow guests to sample many tasty dishes without filling up too much on any one particular thing.
To celebrate the new year, I’ve put together this roundup of scrumptious appetizer and cocktail recipes for the secular new year. It features recipes from me as well as my food blogging friends. Cheers!

Some of the links are not working 🙁 specifically the pomegranate champagne drink.

Marietta I will go through the links to double check, meanwhile here is the champagne cocktail: https://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/2013/12/pomegranate-champagne-cocktail/

Just double checked and all links appear to be working on my end. Make sure you’re clicking the link below each picture.

Thank you! I may have clicked the picture instead of the link. Looking forward to this tasty drink. One of these I will make your Challah recipe…you know, when I am not working on a Friday. 😉

Can’t wait to try some of these. One comment, in the Lavender Gimlet, the directions say “Place the lavender buds in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Crush them with the back of a wooden spoon to help release the flavor. Add the lavender…” Just want to be sure that you really meant “Add the agave…”?
Tori Avey says
Hi Valerie– that recipe is from the blog “Autumn Makes and Does.” You should comment on her recipe post and hopefully she’ll get back to you on this. Here’s the link: http://www.autumnmakesanddoes.com/2014/03/28/lavender-gin-gimlet/
