Looking for recipes to accommodate a special diet? Welcome! My name is Tori Avey. I launched this cooking website in 2010 with a focus on Mediterranean and Jewish cuisine. Here you will find recipes to suit a wide variety of dietary restrictions. The following collection of recipes has taken years to put together; you’ll find many tried and true, delicious dishes here.
Since starting my website in 2010, I’ve listened to feedback from readers who deal with a number of different dietary concerns. In my own life, I have adopted certain restrictions to help maintain optimal health. My husband, daughter and I follow a pescatarian lifestyle – we are mostly vegetarian, but we do incorporate some fish (my website also has plenty of meat recipes from years past, which are well loved by readers). I have family members dealing with various health challenges, and I am keenly aware of how difficult dietary restrictions can be.
It became important over time to carefully categorize my recipes. That way, home cooks could easily find exactly what they are looking for – recipes that work for them.
